Hello Voyager Tours & Workshops
We believe that design is a window into the heart of a country. Textiles, architecture, art, food – these make up the fabric of a community. Come with us on a journey to explore the world through art, craft, and design.
Mid-Mod Tiki-Tastic Tour $3200
Creative Walking Foot Workshop • May 2nd – 5th, 2019 • $925
Join Jacquie Gering in Kansas City for a weekend of walking foot quilting. Participants will learn techniques, practice their skills and fill their quilting design toolbox. Jacquie will begin by reviewing the basics and establishing a firm foundation for expanding and growing participants’ skills with the walking foot.
With Jacquie’s guidance, participants will apply that knowledge to learn and practice walking foot-friendly designs from simple to complex. Jacquie will support participants as they use that knowledge to create their own unique designs. She will also teach strategies for managing large quilts and marking and quilting intricate designs.
Together, Jacquie and the group will explore how to analyze quilts to create quilting designs that will support and enhance the piecing. Participants will leave with a toolbox filled with creative quilting options and the knowledge, skills and confidence to create their own quilts.

It's all about the experience. We take great care in creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and inspiration through our carefully curated itineraries. We search out the best off-the-beaten path artists, museums and restaurants. Traveling is our favorite thing to do and we want to share our favorite places with you.
Betsy Blodgett will be joining the tour as your guide to all things design. Her interest in textiles led to a career in the sewing industry – initially as a fabric store owner and more recently with the pattern companies Indygo Junction and The Sewing Workshop. However, she always wanted to combine her love of design with her love of travel, thus Hello Voyager was born. When not working with fabric or planning design tours, she travels with her husband, interviewing artists and designers for their podcast, Hello Atelier.
Hello Voyager is delighted to collaborate with Lisa Ball Travel Design on our textile tours! Lisa Ball believes everyone should have the opportunity to travel. With that in mind, she turned what was a side hobby of developing church tours into her full-time passion. Lisa’s commitment to making travel affordable for everyone has seen her lead tours around the world. From England to the Amalfi Coast and all the way back to Kansas City, Lisa has made many travel dreams come true.
